A busy Texas street was closed by an accident between a heavy truck and car a little after 10 a.m. on Jan. 13. The car accident occurred on FM 1960 in Atascocita in northeast Harris County. According to witnesses, the truck was attempting to change lanes when it struck a maroon Mercury sedan. The truck then veered off the roadway and overturned into a ditch.
A 41-year-old Texas man passed away unexpectedly after being misdiagnosed during multiple hospital visits. Although doctors diagnosed him with bronchitis, a medical examiner determined that the man died as a result of influenza and pneumonia. He is survived by a wife and six children and had been planning on becoming a minister.
