R. Paige Martin


Paige Martin, a native of Leesburg, Georgia, received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2003 from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She received a Master of Divinity Degree from Duke Divinity School in 2008 and was ordained as an Elder in the Texas Annual Conference of United Methodist Church in 2010. Ms. Martin received her Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Houston Law Center in 2019.

Before law school, Ms. Martin served as Assistant Director of Field Education at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina. She then served as a  United Methodist missionary to El Salvador, and later as the Pastor of Global Missions for Chapelwood UMC in Houston, Texas. While taking the LSAT and applying to law schools, Ms. Martin worked as an immigration paralegal at the Tahirih Justice Center. 

At UHLC, Ms. Martin was the Chief Student Representative for students accused of violating the Honor Code. She also served as a legal intern for Federal Magistrate Judge Frances Stacy, the Major Offenders division of the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico City, and Sysco Corporation. She received her Student Bar Card and represented clients in the Criminal Defense and Guardian Ad Litem Clinics. 

Ms. Martin began working in the Nonprofit division at Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski and Zuber as a 3L and continued there after graduating from law school. In May 2020, Ms. Martin moved to TriticoRainey, PLLC where she practices Education Law, Criminal Defense and Business and Civil Law. Ms. Martin is fluent in Spanish and serves on the Board of Directors for YMCA International Services.
